After many years as a professional tennis player and having worked with the Australian Tennis Team, and the Australian Swimming Team, I have developed a keen interest in the shoulder and its relationship to overuse injuries. I have also completed further study in the biomechanics of the foot and ankle and am interested in the relationship this has to injuries to the lower back,hip, and knee.

Having been born with spina bifida and played professional basketball I’ve suffered several fractures to my lumbar spine. I had a spinal fusion of L3/L4/L5 3 years ago, with complications.

Back pain is my special interest. I’m also interested in long term pain. I’m also interested in the major joints such as shoulders/knees and hips. Having played professional basketball, and worked with olympic athletes, I’ve developed an interest in the biomechanics of movement in sport, as well as the byopsychosocial aspect of it.

We’re not just treating a torn ACL or a partial tear in a quad muscle for example. We’re treating a person who has to perform day to day, regardless if it’s the olympics next month or playing with your kids after work.

Hobbies

I love spending time/playing with my 2 year old son.
Any spare time is spent with my wife, the gym, or by the computer working, learning, improving.
