Posture Analysis

Computarised Postural Analysisthumbnail

Active Physio Health has the latest computerised postural analysis to detect any abnormalities in your posture. It involves taking two photographs of the client, which then gets downloaded onto our software. The software detects additional forces placed on the neck or lower back, and weight distribution. Most importantly, it records a posture number which is then used to determine the extent of the abnormality.

Why is Posture so Important?

It’s estimated for every inch the head moves forward from neutral requires the exertion of 15-30 pounds of extra muscle tension. This extra muscle tension is transmitted down the spine, increasing chronic loading on the vertebrae and the intervertebral disks.  Using a formula developed by a Russian Ph. D. in Physics, PPV estimates the additional forces placed on the cervical spine.  PPV is a true image database capable of storing thousands of records. Exams are easily recalled for comparison or report generation.

OK, We’ve Discovered a Deficient Posture Profile, Now What?

Active Physio Health guides patients through twelve easy exercises and stretches designed to bring a person back into a neutral posture position. These exercises are part of the U.S. Navy’s daily exercise schedule. Now Active Physio Health can detect AND treat patients with a deficient posture profile.
